Meet Dr. Melendrez

As a teenager, Dr. Thomas J. Melendrez’ primary professional goal always focused on becoming an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. His ambition led him, after graduating from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California to matriculate into The University of Southern California’s accelerated dental program, completing his undergraduate and dental school education, in 1999.

Dr. Melendrez then served in the United States Navy, being stationed at the Navy’s premier medical and research hospital, The National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. While in the Navy, he completed an additional year of medical and dental training in a General Practice Residency, providing care to active military, congressman, and senators. In 2002 his military experience concluded aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70), entering into The University of Tennessee’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Program.

Through out Dr. Melendrez’ scholastic career, he has been recognized for his professional dedication, community service and academics. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2006, Dr. Melendrez settled his life in the great community of Reno.
